I can't really see why you care but they are both the same. If you open Query Analyzer, enter the two queries, on the "Query" menu enable "Show execution plan" and the run the batch you will see a tab at the bottom called "Execution plan".

From these details you can determine any performance results of queries. There are other options you can try. You can determine loads about how you write and how to optimise.
