I am looking for informaton about Reporting Services, in particular how
to change the datasource, username and password for a report
programmically. Right now, I can only get it to work after changing the
file once it has been deployed to the server. For the amount of reports

This is actually similar to what I am doing. Different reports for each environment. But it seems to be a common question, and there have been some solutions discussed in microsoft.public.sqlserver.reportingsvcs:

But it offerss microsoft.public.sqlserver.misc which is defunct.
Anyway, you can tune into msnews.microsoft.com to get access to
all mirosoft.public.* newsgroups.
