Have two identical SQL Servers

Hi guys.

Maybe i'm making a dumb question but here is my scenario.

I'm administering some Lan's of different companies. Some of them use 1 SQL server respectively for a program to take the books (inventory, balances etc).
I don't know nothing from SQL so i wanted to ask is there any simple way to add one more SQL server in each LAN and to make them replicate two by two so if the main server of the couple fails (hard disk crashes etc) i'll have only to change the network name of the other and the software will be up and running again without data loss ???

Thank you for any answer.
