default is NULL

Also, SQL server defaults to 'allow nulls' when creating tables. (It
usually is when nothing is specified then 'not null' is default value).
for example;
create table t1(c1 int, c2 int)
insert t1(c1) values(0)

select * from t1
c1 c1
0 null
