SQL Query Analyzer

HI All,
I am a beginner with SQL. I resently installed Microsofts SQL 2000 Evaluation Edition on my laptop that is running Windows XP home edition. I need to be able to access the Query Analyzer for a school project, but when ever I go to use the Analyzer, the Connect to SQL Server log on panel keeps trying to connect to a server. How do I go about setting up the program to not go searching for a server and to just use my computer?
