Need advice on reading material

Hello,

I'm new to SQL Server, have alot of experience with DB2 and Oracle,
and have been
tasked with supporting SQL Server. Could anyone suggest a good
administrator book?
Thanks!!

Hi Dave

You don't say which version of SQL server you are going to use? Books online
is always a good place to start and the articles on MSDN and Technet are
always useful. You may want to look through some of the books on
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro...ing/books.mspx
although it didn't show the William Stanek books
http://www.microsoft.com/MSpress/books/6794.asp for which there are both SQL
2000 and SQL 2005 editions.

The best thing may be to get down to a good bookshop and browse!
