Table spool/Lazy spool question

Greetings,

In Google I am finding what the deffinition of a table spool operator is
but not what it is doing to performance. The execution plan shows the
output of a clustered Index scan (54 records) going into the Table Spool
operator and having a output of 218,000 records out. Where do the 218,000
records come from??
