SQL Server 2000 License Query

Taz
Hello.

After searching Microsoft's website for hours and confusing myself more
than I was before I started...

Can anyone explain to me what the current state of affairs is for SQL
2000 licensing?

In particular with a server that has multiple processors and multiple
instances of SQL Server 2000 running - for both Standard and Enterprise
Editions of SQL Server 2000.

Please help!

Regards,
Taz

Look here:

If you use server + cal licencing you have to buy server (per instance)
and Clients cals. If you use processor licencing you have to licence
every processor but you can have multiple instances on the server and
you need no cals for the clients.
