temp table name

I created a temp table #t
But in tempdb..sysobjects the name is stored as

#t________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ ________________000000000018

Any reason for extra length?

See the "Temporary Tables" section of CREATE TABLE in Books Online,
where this behaviour is explained.
