EMC Replication Manager/SE

I've asked this before but am still getting no idea about it.

For anyone has used the EMC Replication Manager/SE (RM/SE), it's a LUN
cloning technology that actually freezes the SQL server db residing on
the LUN for a very short period of time, and then copy the whole LUN to
another area within the SAN.

Then we can mount the database on those copied LUN to another SQL
server and then use NetBackup to back them up.

It seems working and we can restore the backup to another SQL server.

But the problem is:
Does the original production SQL server knows that a backup has been
done? Why I ask this is that it seems not coz the backup is being done
on another SQL Server and that would mean that the transaction log is
not being backup and truncated on the productio SQL Server. So I would
be facing transaction log growth problem, right? If so, how am I gonna
resolve this?
