Profiler Trace file format

Hi

I want read a trace file generated by SQL Server 2005 througr SQL
Server 2000.
But fn_trace_gettable function in SQL 2000 does not recognize the file
as of proper format.

If there is some other tool or utility available through which i can
read the file generated by SQL Server 2005.

Or if I can get the file format of the file then I will write my own
tool.

Thanks

I'd say the best option is to load the trace file into a normal table
(as described in Books Online), then copy the table to SQL2000. The
trace file format isn't documented, so there's probably no reliable
alternative, and since SQL2005 is still beta, it's unlikely that
there's another tool out there to read them (and even if there is, the
file format could change before SQL2005 is released).
