SQL Server/PeopleSoft DBA Needed!

Position:SQL SERVER/PEOPLESOFT DBA
Date: 03/07/05
Location: Richmond, VA
Duration: 5 month conract to hire
Salary: 65,000-80,000K
Contract to Hire 5 months
Sal: 65-80K

Candidates must be US Citzen/GC Holder as this is contract to hire! My
client is looking for candidates with 3-5 years experience working in a
SQL Server DBA role along with 2+ years experience in Peoplesoft
Administrator. Candidates MUST HAVE Peoplesoft and SQL Server
experience to be considered. Candidates will be responsible for the
following: Perform data base management system (DBMS) design and
redesign activities as needed in PeopleSoft. Coordinate with other data
processing staff members to evaluate need; select software;
design/develop storage structures, mapping and search strategies,
access methods and support software for creating, maintaining and
reor-ganizing database. Specify, design, and develop data extract and
load software. Performs loading, testing, and validation functions.
Implements data definitions and implements and maintains data
dictionary and other data support soft-ware. Review, test, and evaluate
performance of activity against physical data structures. Initiate
system improvements; assess impact of change; recommend redevelopment,
redesign or restructuring. Implement restart, recovery and backup
procedures. Install and maintain tools necessary to guard against
unauthorized access to and use of database. Install and maintains tools
needed to ensure accuracy of data. Candidates MUST HAVE the following
experience. Superior technical, analytical and design abilities.
Ability to make technical decisions. Current knowledge in SQL Server
and in PeopleSoft. Hardware and software experience needed to determine
optimum configura-tions. Ability to communicate effectively orally and
in writing, in person and on the telephone
