Hi All!
I've Win XP Pro with SP2 installed. I've also ms sql server 2000 installed.
The problem is that sqlserver doesn't listen on port 1433. There is no slq
server listening when I check netstat -a.
I opened 1433/1434 ports on Windows firewall but it didn't help. I set
TCP/IP in enabled protocols in server network utility but it still doesn't
work.
Because of that - I can't connect to sql server from antoher machine (in
example: to add new sql server registration is Enterprise Manager).
I googled that win xp pro sp2 blocks tcp/ip for sql server by default
(security reason). I suppose it's possible to change this manually. But how?
Any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks
