Error message using "Copy Database Wizard"

Any advice from the crowd? Every time I try to run "Copy Database
Wizard" I get an error message saying I must be a member of the
sysadmin group and have permission to copy files over the network. I'm
a local admin on both boxes and a member of the sysadmin group on both
SQL servers and an admin on the network. What am I missing here?

Thanks,

Ralph Noble

I have some code that dynamically creates a database (name is @FullName) and then creates a table within that database. Is it possible to wrap these things into a transaction such that if any one of the following fails, the database "creation" is rolledback. Otherwise, I would try deleting on error detection, but it could get messy. IF @Error = 0 BEGIN SET @ExecString = 'CREATE DATABASE ' + @FullName EXEC sp_executesql @ExecString

Well, as the subject says.... Briefly, when I try to run *any* wizard, I get a simple dialog, stating "Permission Denied", to which I can only click "OK". I suspect this is a windows (XP) problem rather than an actual Access one, as the error only occurs in my power user (and any other) account. It goes away if I am logged on (to windows) as Administrator. Full Permission for Everyone is set on the drive and folder(s)

I'm using C# to create an ASP .NET website backed by a MySQL database. One of the things I do often on the site is populate a DataList by binding it to a DataSet pulled from the database. However, I'm running into a bit of a problem with a specific field type in the database. It seems that fields of type TEXT (a kind of binary way of storing large amounts of text) generate the error "Unknown Target Conversion Type" when I try to bind...

I'm wondering what the best practice is for creating a WinApp "wizard" that contains 4 or 5 "steps". Options so far are 1) Single WinForm making various controls visible/non visible at the different steps(although that may get cluttered in the design environment) 2) Create multiple WinForms (don't really know any pros or cons of this method) 3) Use a tabbed page (although I don't want to see any tabs)

Hello, I'm using CreateUserWizard control in ASP.NET 2.0. I'm storing the data in SQL Server 2005. The first and last steps run smoothly without any problems. But I added one middle step to collect some other information from the user. I've added this to Web.config: <profile>

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
