WorkAlerts Application Information Monitoring

Have you seen WorkAlerts (www.workalerts.com).

It is nice. You build rules via point and click and can build custom
emails, pages, etc. of business information (or any other information for
that matter).

It has a built-in scheduler as well as the ability to automate.

You can pull information from multiple databases (of different types) and
build a nice message in real-time. Also it can be used to feed another
database with information based on some other condition. All this without
coding.

You should check it out. They have a free 30-day trial.

I have a windows service that in the OnStart it creates a thread and runs a loop forever and ever, assuming the service is running. The loop stops during the OnStop event, and everything works exactly as expected. I also have an application that monitors that service using the ServiceController component, and allows me to start & stop the...

Hello, I have researched and tried every thing I have found on the web, in groups and MS KB articles. Here is what I have. I have a Windows 2000 Domain Controller all service packs and every thing else from windows update. ..NET 1.0 and 1.1 installed on the server. Actually .NET was installed before the server was made a DC.

I know this has been discussed before, and have found some documentation about it on the web. But nothing has fixed my problem. I am running the 1.1 .NET framework, SP1. I have a web application that I would like to place on a remote shared drive on a different computer. I had problems with that, so I simplified it so that I am trying...

My applications (ASP.NET 2.0 /IIS 6) get restarted almost every 20 mintues. When asking my dear provider, he/she replied that I should have a closer look into my source code. Unfortunatelly they did not give me any hints WHERE and WHY I have all these restarts. Granted, I pay 20USD/month and they want for sure not spend hours for detecting...

I am trying to figure out a way to have health monitoring throw different Event IDs into the event log, and am having a hard time. None of the customization that I have looked through so far has been helpful, yet. As an example, here's a text copy of a typical unhandled exception from the event log: Event Type: Warning Event...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...
