SQLSourceSafe, the integrated version control solution for SQL Server objects

SQLSourceSafe 2.0 is the right version control solution for SQL Server
database development projects. SQLSourceSafe 2.0 Integrates with both
SQL Server and Visual SourceSafe, providing an effective and
effortless version control management system for individuals and
project teams to manage database objects.

By using SQLSourceSafe 2.0, you can manage SQL Server database objects
such as tables, stored procedures, user defined functions, views,
triggers, indexes/keys and constraints as you manage regular files and
projects in SourceSafe. SQLSourceSafe 2.0 enables your to archive and
label database object changes in SourceSafe, so that you can compare
different versions, recover from an undesired write-over of objects,
or roll back to a previous release. Advanced users can also use
SQLSourceSafe 2.0 to find out the differences between SQL Server
databases or deploy the latest SQL Server database archived in
SourceSafe to different computers.

Hi. I want to create a site management (admin) web application in ASP under W2K/IIS5/FPSE2002. It will be used to modify the content of XML files on the web site it manages. Any changes require authentication. When a file is to be modified the operator should check it out so that it is marked for modification, preventing others to change it. The file is checked in after changes are made. I'd like to be able to check in/out documents...

NOTE ALSO POSTED IN microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.aspnet.buildingcontrols I have solved most of my Server Control Collection property issues. I wrote an HTML page that describes all of the problems that I have encountered to date and the solutions (if any) that I found. http://users.adelphia.net/~brianpclab/ServerControlCollectionIssues.htm This page also has all of the source code in a compressed file that you are free to download...

Hi Ng! My application (version 1 a1) communicates with a service (version 1 s1). Now I would like to update the service and create a service version 2 (s2). The new function calls within s2 are implemented in a new interface, which derive from the old one to ensure that an old version of my application (a1) still works with s2. If i run my new version of the application a2 with s1 I get a InvalidCastException (Return argument has an...

I've been having a problem debugging an ASP.NET 1.1 application on an existing Windows XP/Visual Studio 2003 workstation that I've inherited from somebody else. The application builds fine, but when I try to debug, it gives me the message: Error When Trying to Run Project: Unable to Start Debugging on the Web Server. Debugging failed because integrated Windows authentication is not enabled. Now, the obvious solution for this of course...

We have an implementation of Oracle 9i database. We have a team of 20 developers working on a project. We use PL/SQL DEVELOPER and Visual Source Safe to cotrol the source. The problem we have at the moment is one of version control. For the moment, 2 developers can edit and compile a package.Because the package is compiled on the DB Server,It is possible that a source being edited by a developer could be overwritten by another. There is...

I'm running Access 2003 on an XP machine, and there are multiple developers who are working on different "assignments" of our large database project. We all work on a local copy and export changes made to various objects. Version controlling is becoming more of an issue, so we've developed a real basic version control system that tracks "exports" to the primary DB (which is then version-controlled prior to distribution to the client--which...

Hi all, I've been debating for a while (basically since asp.net 2.0 came out) on using the built in mebership classes to handle user management in my web apps. I seem to keep coming upon roadblocks that keep me from jumping in. Well this time is no different. While trying to use an asp.net sqlmembershipprovider to create a new user, I get the following error: Server Error in '/' Application....

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
