Password out of synch between W2K & Local SQL Server on my Worksation

Hi,
I had this problem in version 7 and dont remneber How I solved it!!
I have installed a local SQL Server (2000 aka version 8) on my
Worksation (W2K), I have picked NT authuntication.
Everything was fine untill I changed my password. Now SQL server can
not start because it fails to login. The old password is embedded
somwhere and I cant egt to it!!!
My workstation is on a network, so the password is my network
password.
Everythinng is MS on our network.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Right-click My Computer, select Manage. In MMC find Services, and
in the list find the MSSQL Service. Right-click, select Properties
and there switch to the Log On tab. Change the password.

It's probably a good idea to have a special user for SQL Server that
can't log in interactively, so you don't have to change the password.

Hi, I finally figured out the best way to synch local and remote script folders, containing many php script files. What I used to do before was try to ftp all the changed files, etc. which was tedious and often broke. It was also very slow. What I do now is to pkzip the folder up, ftp the pkzip’ed data to remote, and then unzip it...

OK, I've Googled for this and cannot seem to quite find what I need. So, I turn to the Gentle Geniuses here for help. Hi all, how can I check a user/password in a LDAP ? I don't want to connect with this user, I would like to connect to LDAP with a ADMIN_LOG/ADMIN_PWD, then do a query to find the user and check the password. The thing is I can't access the password attribute to compare with the user's password provided.

When using embedded SQL for db2 under solaris, you do not need to give username and password since the system will use your unix-login as default credential. However, with JDBC seems I always need to provide username and password, the Java API DriverManger.getConnection(String url) does not work. I am not sure if this is because the JDBC...
