Tables are skipped or export failed error occurs when upsizing MS Access to MS SQL Server

Bon
Hello All

I got "Tables are skipped or export failed" error when I used upsizing
wizard on migrating MS Access 2000 to MS SQL Server 2000.

I am changing my application backend database from MS Access 2000 to MS
SQL Server 2000. My front end is MS Access interface. When I used the
MS Access 2000's Upsizing Wizard for database migration, some tables
cannot be migrated. The upsizing wizard report states some tables are
"Tables are skipped or export failed" and some are "updating report
does not have unique idex". Could you telll me how I solve both of the
problems please?

My setting on upsizing wizard:
check the index, validation rules, default, table relationships
check the trigger radio button
no, never use the timestamp
create the link with the existing application

Thanks in advance

Cheers
Bon

Ok, here we go. I added the possibility for tests using the unittest.py framework to be skipped. Basically, I added two methods to TestCase: TestCase.skip(msg): skips unconditionally TestCase.skipIf(expr, msg): skips if expr is true These can be called either in setUp() or in the test methods. I also added reporting of skipped tests to TestResult, _TextTestResult and

I've created a small company database where the tables reside in a SQL Server database. I'm using Access 2000 forms for a front end. I've got a System DSN set-up to SQL Server and am using links within Access 2000 to get to the SQL Server tables. My forms worked fine until I made a few minor changes to the database schema on SQL Server (e.g. added a foreign key, or added a column). After that, all the links break - I click on a table...

Hey guys, I want to import a database from SQL Server 2000 to MS Access with all indices and keys along with the tables. DTS does not export indices and keys, only the structure and the data. When used "Import External Data" through Access(linking through ODBC) it creadted liked tables, however with indices and keys. Can remove these links and preserve only th stucture back. How do I do it. Thanks

Hi all, I have recently ported my Access 2000 app to SQL Server, keeping the Access client as the front end using linked tables. I am also using triggers on my SQL tables to trap orphan records and validate added data. My question is..

Hi, I'm having problems with attaching two tables stored in an SQL Server 2000 to an Access 97 database. It worked well for all other tables except those two. This is what I did: Choose the data source from the ODBC dialog, choose the database on SQL Server login, select all tables in the SQL Server database. All tables were attached except the two, it says something like "database module can't find 'dbo_<tablename>'".

Do White papers or other documents exist that explain the steps to converting an Access database and/or tables to SQL 2000.

Hello everyone, I'm considering upsizing my databases to SQL server. I've tried the upsize wizard on one of them, but the process failed since to some problems on sql server side (probably too complicated structure, names etc.). So instead I want to export manually my tables to SQL server and link them in my Access DB's and leave all queries, forms in my mdb. Also few tables would be left locally in the mdb file.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
