Is the world heading over to mobile?

So I'm sure you all are aware of the whole flood of machine learning and AI's that are getting all over the news and stuff and I've been wanting to get into it.. Issue is that I am a C# software developer and machine learning isn't ideal for C#. I'm feeling like the Windows Software market is dying as well, unless I develop something super big like Photoshop and sell it. But as a single developer who works part time for a software company, I wont be able to do that. Which leads me to my original question. Should I start heading into mobile app development? Using Xamarin, and if so.. Which market should I choose? Android or iOS?

Now more and more companies are focused on developing mobile app, for example game dev apps or salesforce custom app , cause 80% of internet users apply their mobile device to get in touch with this or that application. It is very convenient and easy to use, and moreover it is time-saving, which is very important nowadays.
