How to pass the value from controller to jsp?

How to pass the value from controller to jsp page by using request.setAttribute method.


My controller as

request.setAttribute("msg","successfully saved");
ModelAndView modelAndView = new ModelAndView("redirect:new.html"); //new.html is jsp page it is resolved as html

return modelAndView;


jsp as

<p>${msg}</p>


and I am using spring form

any solution?

It is resolved.

Now code changed in controller as:


request.setAttribute("msg","successfully saved");
return showForm(request, response, errors);

now it is working..
