Best revenue - shareware, subscription or sponsored search?

1
What kind of monetization would be mostly profitable, stable for a small program?

- shareware - that is clear
- subscription - is it practised?
- sponsored search - when you set your google sponsored search engine for the user's computer

Subscription or sale, would be the most stable monetization plan.

With subscriptions you get reoccurring revenue stream and it's not a one time sale. You can also create different plan sets based on usage or features.

Sponsored search will effect the longetivity of your software. Users will eventually get wind of you changing their search settings and might not be pleased with it. Eventually it will affect your downloads and usage.

Your best best for success of course is build a good product.
