Mail Merge Data Source Connection Error

Anadergbaps
Hello All,

I have scoured google for the past few days trying to find a fix for my mail merger problem, and am still unable to use an outside program to start the mail merge.

The error I receive is
"Error #1429 in execute (0): OLE IDispatch exception code 0 from Microsoft Word: Word was unable to open the data source..."

We use Zangle student manager, and I created a mail merge which writes data from the SQL database to the word doc.

We recently converted from novell login to microsoft login, after which I have been unable to use Zangle to complete the mail merge.

If I just open the mail merge doc, I am prompted with whether or not I want the doc to run the assigned query(select * from myview.)

When I run thru zangle it does not give me this prompt.

I have tried different permission, different doc types, different file locations, different mail merges, and still nothing. (This is occurring for all of the mail mergers)

Is there a setting in word I can enable which would allow the doc to run the query without asking for permission? I checked Word Options/Trust Center and have everything enabled where it pertains to allowing access, but still nothing. I changed/updated the ODBC driver, and also used a different driver which my NetAdmin told me to use, still nothing.

These forms are about to go out since school is starting up, so we are on a tight deadline, please help!

I have tried googling the error, but all it returns are non-specific errors, not pertaining to my situation.

We use XP, word 2007, SQL Server 2005, and zangle(student management software)
