Creating double column document, non-newsletter type

I am in thinking about translating an English document into other language, in double column, english on the left and other language on the right column, synchronized. obth column tracking each other. Can someone help me? What kind software I need(have MS word2003)?

Word has a button that splits the text into to columns it looks like two columns of dashes on your toolbar. See if that will help.

Thank you for your prompt resply.
However, that split column feature is good for "newsletter" writing, not for the double column that i am looking for.

What I want is "double column" that enables left and right colum tracking together: for example, on the left column, original text, and on the right column, the translation, and both original text and translation tracked together.

You might want to try diffmerge from SourceGear.
http://www.sourcegear.com/diffmerge/

It's primarily for doing... well.. diffs N merges! :-)

You can turn off/on varying levels of dff checking - or turn it off altogether.

Hope that helps...

It's freeeeee as in beeeeer...
