Test management system and Bug-tracking tool in one application

sunlight8
My regards to the community, I am relatively new in the field of testing. We are a group of five software engineers we work for a small company. Our QA department is on a look out for a system or a tool which lets our QA head monitor the overall test process and also monitor individual team members progress. So far, I came across some tools like e-Manager, QADirector, Zephyr, though I don't have any hands-on experience using these tools. Could any one suggest tools suitable for our needs. Thanks in advance.

I think what you found will work fine for you.

Yes you can use Mercury Test Director, I have been using it for 2 years, its good and can be easily managed

or you can also go for JIRA, its a web based tool for test reporting and managements, but its quite simple, its not that advanced as Test Director

Most of the test management systems that I have come across don’t work well with bug-tracking tools. I heard about Zephyr 2.0 , which is the only QA test management system that integrates with defect tracking tools like JIRA and Bugzilla. I found it to be truly compatible as it’s perfectly integrated with our internal bug-tracking system.
