How shall i start professional project development in C++

Hello All,

I have basic concepts of C and C++(OOP). But i have no idea what type of projects develop in C and/or C++. Moreover i don't have professional experience in those fields. Would you please help me to start professional development and be an excellent C/C++ programmer. I like Object Oriented Programming.
One further point is that, please help me by giving some idea of projects develop in C/C++. Please help me to come out.

Heya, aminulsumon. Welcome to TSDN!

My advice would be to start off looking for entry-level C++ developer jobs. Monster, CareerBuilder and Craigslist are good sites for this. There is no faster way to learn than through real-world experience.

I don't generally recommend freelancer sites like rent-a-coder because you won't find any work there unless you're willing to do the jobs for $4 an hour.

If you want to build your own projects, think about the sort of applications you'd like to create, and you'll be on your way.

If you understand the concepts of OOD...don't limit yourself to C++. There many times more jobs out there in other languages too. Take a class in java or try some .Net projects and apply for those too. Don't settle on one language until you get "established" in the field.

Thank you sir,
You mean i shall learn as much as possible in C++, Java and.Net technologies. As well get employed myself into any of these powerful language. Later according to project demand i shall go for that language. Continuing this routine to become an expert in any of these area. I think you mean it. Am i right? Let me know one more thing : how to start develop a Phone Book in C++, Java and .Net.

Heya, aminulsumon.

Sounds like you'll want to create a database app that saves and retrieves telephone numbers, names and addresses.

You'll probably want to be able to add, edit and delete entries (and perhaps eventually mass-import them).

Your database should be searchable by name, city, state, maybe zip code, and of course [partial] phone number. Eventually, you might also want to add categories for business listings.

There are many database applications out there that you might want to use; for example, you could download and install a free copy of MySQL and learn how to integrate your C++ apps (which looks good on a resumé...).
