In excel splitting rows to time slots

116 100+
Hi there.
This will not be easy to explain.

In excel I have to create a planner showing different colours for different time periods. Ie if a job takes 1hr then one cell will be red. If the next job takes 2hrs then the next two cells will be green. I will use conditional formating to put in the colours but its the formulas behind it that I am struggling with for the sheet to know when to change. It all has to be automated.

My data starts like this.

01/07/07 1 hr
02/07/07 2 hr.
03/07/07 5 hr etc

It needs to end up like this

01/07/07 02/07/07

red green green

I hope that once someone has understood what on earth I am trying to explain it all makes sense.

Many thanks
