Virus that possibly affects google history

1
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has ever heard of a virus that infects the search history of google. Such as: history that is showing up in google that someone's husband swears that he didn't look at. Is it possible for words or phrases to show up in google history that someone didn't previously look at. Thanks for your help!

Search history is odd - I've never heard of that, but it's not impossible. If you know the files to manipulate you can do it - it's just normal as people usually want to hide where they've been.

I would first look at how many people have or might have access to this account first - especially since google has the 'anonymous history' thing, it's *likely* (not impossible) that that is the account's actual search history.

I agree, it is very odd but not impossible. There are many ways in which someone could take over control of the computer and then just open Google and search for something. Of course, the easiest solution would be that someone who was at the computer searched for this term - but that doesn't have to be the husband in question.

Also, what exactly do you mean by the search history? Are you talking about the suggestions that come up when typing something into the Google search box on the Google website or in the browser search tool? Because it does give you suggestions, what to search for there - without you having to had searched for them.

Greetings,
Nepomuk
