Rails Server and Hosting

I recently decided to create my own rails server, but don't know if it would be better to host with some company that has efficient support to host and maintain the versions of the releas of rails. I have done the following installation and setup (http://ragunalth.blogspot.com/2007/08/server-info.html ) all correctly, and it works fine. But my questions is if it is better to host with some big rails company?
