Ruby Rails [ or ] php [ or ] perl: which is the best?

any idea which is the best ??

I guess it depends on what you want to do.

Perl is perhaps a bit out-of-date compared to Ruby and Python.

And i wont even mention P*P.

That it does and each language has its "specialty".

I would definitely not say that. First, Perl still has the most powerful Regular Expression engine of any other language. Plus, have you seen the advancements in Perl 6? The language may seem "out-of-date" to some, but it is current and quite the contender.

... but the Perl syntax reminds me of C! Ruby is the most beautiful language to me. And it offers even more different ways to do something than python.

Another I've noticed is django - a python based web language. It seems to be very powerful as well.
