Excel.Application.visible=0' can not be set

I have made the Excel application visible =0 in my program so that it will perform the excel operations in background and wont disturb my regular work. But what happens is that when ever any other excel sheet is open in my system that is not at all related to the python program. It is showing the following error

"AttributeError: Property 'Excel.Application.visible=0' can not be set."

if no excel file is open while the program is running the error is not comming and my python program works fine.

my python program carries out operations in an already existing excel file. save it and closes it.

How can we solve this issue?
