numpy or Numeric

Dears,
To use math function or any other functions we should import numpy or Numeric,
Is there any differece between them?

I would recommend NumPy. From the numpy homepage:

"NumPy derives from the old Numeric code base and can be used as a replacement for Numeric. It also adds the features introduced by Numarray and can also be used to replace Numarray."
