If setuptools is the problem you could get it from here
BTW what is the operating system that you are using ?

thanks Kaarthikeyapreyan
I ran the ez_setup.py an it seems to install the setup tools and got me by that hitch - However now I am getting - serverkey= _winreg.OpenKey(_winreg.HKEY_Local_Machine, options['registry_key']) .... a windowserror message [error2] the system cannot find the specified file appears to happen during the execution of the setup_windows.py script which seems to be kicked off by the ez_setup.py script .... any idea how to fix this and hopefully no more problems

Thanks in advance
