how to do easy_install to source code, not egg?

P: n/a
Hi all,
how to do easy_install <some packageto source code, not egg?

(I don't mean "develop" option, it shouldn't call compiled egg-file).

Thank you in advance,
Dmitrey.

$ easy_install --help

<snip/>
--editable (-e) Install specified packages in editable form
<snip/>

You additionally need to give the -b-option, like this:

$ easy_install -eb . FooBar
