Subject: pysyncml 0.1 released

Hi,

I'm happy to announce the first release of pysyncml, a Python wrapper for the Funambol C++ API.

The project page, with example scripts and API reference, is here:

https://pysyncml.forge.funambol.org/

You can download it from here:

https://pysyncml.forge.funambol.org/...ctDocumentList

Tested platforms are: Linux i386 (Slackware 12), MacOS X 10.4 and Windows XP.. Binaries are available for these platforms (for Python 2.5), as well as source code.

* About pysyncml *

pysyncml has two parts:

* A Python extension module (_pysyncml) wrapping the Funambol C++ API (seehttp://www.funambol.com/)

* A pure Python module (pysyncml) with higher-level classes to ease writingSyncML-aware applications in Python.

pysyncml is licensed under the GPL, version 2.1.

Hi,

<snip rest of post, none of which explains what Funambol is>

Any chance you could say a bit more about what the Funambol C++ API is/
does? As this is a Python forum, I suspect many are not familiar with
this undoubtedly invaluable and indispensable code library.

I actually followed your link, and found another project page that
said pretty much just what your posting did. I'm sure I was just one
click away from total consciousness, but since the Dalai Lama already
promised me that on my deathbed, so I've got that going for me.
