I’ve been using MarkMail (www.markmail.org <http://www.markmail.org/>)
to search the archives and it works MUCH better than the Google archive.
It is a free hosting of all sorts of GNU/open source mailing lists
(registration NOT required or even available).
I agree; it *is* good. However, for a quick-and-dirty, a simple
Google search for "site:mail.python.org blah blah" is also
useful.
