What db class do you recommend?

Xx r3negade
I'm new to python, and I'm researching python's different database interfaces. The norm for this seems to be the MySQLdb class paired with the cursor class, correct? Ok well this looks alright, but if I wanted to use MSSQL I would have to use a separate class, the same with Oracle, etc. In both PHP and Perl there are classes(MDB2 and DB, respectively) that can interact with any type of database. Now I'm sure that there is a python equivalent to this - after googling for a while I have found quite a few python db classes. So what do you recommend?
