Capture Radiotap Headers in Python

P: 3
Hey!

I'm new to python and I am trying to capture Radiotap Headers and to parse them to get the mac timestamp out.

So I found this for parsing radiotap headers:
http://www.wand.net.nz/~smr26/python/radiotap/radiotap.py

but before i can use that i need to capture the whole header in a string, and THATS my question right now: "How can I capture a radiotype header to a string?"

I already set up a ath0 device on monitore mode and with wireshark I can see the packets been captured and I can see the radio type headers so i just need to get in in python code :)

here is how i set up the ath0 device:

#!/bin/sh
wlanconfig ath0 destroy
wlanconfig ath0 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode monitor
iwconfig ath0 channel 11
echo 803 >/proc/sys/net/ath0/dev_typ

i'm sure it's not very complex, i'm just new to this stuff...

thx!
