matrix [numpy installation] problem

ok i am trying to install the linear algebra package from the numpy package and i keep getting this error i don't know what to do with it. Can some one please help i'm new to python and kind of stuck

this is the error

SystemExit: error: Python was built with Visual Studio 2003;
extensions must be built with a compiler than can generate compatible binaries.
Visual Studio 2003 was not found on this system. If you have Cygwin installed,
you can try compiling with MingW32, by passing "-c mingw32" to setup.py.

You'll want to get the Windows installer from the SciPy Download page. It includes all the most recent numpy packages.

I do have the most recent packages however, i am still getting this error when I use the setup.py script fromthe linear algebra package.

Don't use setup (install from source), is what I'm saying. Use the Windows installer (install from binaries).
