Clear IDLE

I was wondering, what is the code to clear out IDLE? I tried os.system('cls') but that didn't work.

Lets see if I can make this make sense.
Idle is really just another application on your system. It is implemented in python using the Tkinter modules. It integrates a python interpreter and a Tkinter Text() object. Since ctrl-A, backspace doesn't work the way it should (because Tk Text objects are quite poor at implementing almost all functions that a real text widget needs), you'd need to know enough Tk/python to go in and add a function bound to a key sequence (or menu or button) to the interpreter window.

The best thing to do is get a better IDE. See Look into IDE options for Python in the Articles section.

Well its not worth getting a new IDE just so I can clear the screen, it's not a top priority. Thanks for the help though
