keyboard and mouse event

can python send keyboard and mouse events?


like, i want to type hello 10 times in my text editor.



i am on this only:

windows vanilla version from python.org, and only that.

Yes. It is possible. AFAIK, the Windows installation of Python form python.org comes with the python win32 package. So you should already have most of the pieces. I've seen pyHook used successfully. You can read about that package here.

Also, if your text editor is COM aware (like MS Word) that you can do anything that VB can do with the win23 comClient sub package.
