from script to GUI app?

46
Hey guys,

I am thinking about turning my small project script into a GUI app - that can run on osx & windows.

Is there a simple way to do this? Or is it something I should thought about before I wrote any code?

I googled up an app called PythonCard & wxpython. Can anyone recommend this? Is this the right way to go?

I'm working on osx 10.4.9 and python 2.4.3

Thanks for any help!

Hey, Adam, wxPython is my favorite GUI Toolkit. You may want to start a little simpler with Tkinter ("comes with" python). If you are already comfortable with any GUI framework, then I'd say go ahead and jump into wx. I have heard of some Mac oddities, though.

I used awaretek.com/Choose Your GUI Toolkit to find wx for myself. You might find something different there.
