Hi,
I have a word document that I plan on using as a template. It is already set up with all the main information. The size of the docoument is for printing on to CD/DVDs when making deliverables. The document contains 3 textboxes. Within those textboxes I need to insert information that tells the customer what is on the CD/DVD etc. What is put on the CD/DVD will be different for each deliverable. I have successsfully replaced text but that text was not in the text boxes. I have seen you can create text boxes but I have not found where you can insert text into an existing text box. Is that possible or am I going to have to find another way to update this WORD document automatically?
Thank you in advance,
Becky

Never mind. I figured out another way to do what I need to do. I will modify their template to include a 3 column table and insert the info into column 1 and 3.

COM (using VB style commands) is a good way to automate Word docunents from python. I don't have any experience doing this, but I can help get you the info.

Thanks for keeping us up-to-date on your progress.
