error in connecting python with oracle

haii all
i have probelm with oracle and python..
i installed oracle 10g and python2.4on windows xp machine.. and i can connect database thru python...( also installed mxODBC)
now i want to connect this databse(windows xp) from linux(debian etch) machine..in debian i installed python 2.4, http://downloads.egenix.com/python/egenix-mx-commercial-2.0.7-py2.3_1.i386.rpm, libiodbc and iodbc.. but i can't connect it.. it shows some errors.. like this
"mxODBC.OperationalError: ('IM002', 0, '[iODBC][Driver Manager]
Data source namenot found and no default driver specified.
Driver could not be loaded', 6044)"

wat i can do?.. plz help

I suspect that you have not setup ODBC yet. On Windows it in Administrative Tools. I don't know where it will be on Linux.
