How to automate Build with Code Composer?

Hello, I am new at Python, approximately 2 weeks of experience, could someone help me please.

I am trying to Automate build in Code Composer c5000 version 2.21. I am able to open a project and Build it. But the problem is that I can't specify the configuration. I presently have 3 different configuration for my project: Debug, Release and Simulation. Since the first configuration for the project is Debug, It is by default set to Debug. But I need to specify the Release Configuration Option. So in resume, I need to build a projects with in the Release configuration

There is no documentation on OLE COM for Code Composer. The only documentation available is for RTDX Com object which is useless for me.

My Python implementation for opening a projects and build it is the following.

import win32com.client as w32c

ObjCode = w32c.Dispatch("CodeComposer.Projcoll")
Projects = ObjCode.OpenProject("D:/Automation/Test/Project.pjt")
Projects.Build(True)

I tried to access the build options with the BuildTools parameter but it doesn't seem to be instantiated. And if I try using it in a function accepting a BuildTool, it gives me an error:
>>> Projects.GetBuildOptions(ObjCode.BuildTools)
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<interactive input>", line 1, in ?
File "<COMObject OpenProject>", line 3, in GetBuildOptions
com_error: (-2147352567, 'Exception occurred.', (0, None, None, None, 0, -2147467263), None)

I don't know if I am on the right track, if someone could help me, it would really be helpfull. And thanks in advance.

Have you tried:
ObjCode .Build(True)
Also you may need to use a raw string like this:
Projects = ObjCode.OpenProject(r"D:/Automation/Test/Project.pjt")
In most languages the '\' is a special character. Using raw strings treats it as a normal character and is the way to make sure that Windows path names work properly. You can also use unicode strings on windows: u"C:\this\is\a\path".

After several hours of experiencing how to automate build in code composer, I finally found a special Make, the timake. Which you pass the project as an parameter. So I basically use the os.system command to execute it.

Thanks for the advise.

Thanks for the update. I'm sure that this will turn out to be useful info for our members in the near future. Example code would be really helpful.

Here is a sample of code.

#TiDirectory is the Ti directory of code composer when installing the application
os.popen(TiDirectory + "/cc/bin/timake" + " Project.pjt " + "Release")

You may learn more on this timake on google.

Hope this helps a lot
