Adding an item to a SelectControl

Hello. I'm using Mechanize and don't have much experience with it yet, so please excuse me.

I have a SelectControl and I need to add an item to it before submitting the form (the web page it came from used JavaScript to add that item). I have been searching the web, but haven't found a way to do that. Could anyone please help me?

Thanks in advance.

I checked out Mechanize. This is a very nice url lib extention! I am so glad that you have bought this to the forum. However, I haven't see SelectControl yet. Is this possibly part of your java script that you need help with?

Thanks for replying. SelectControl is not part of a javascript, it's a part of the Mechanize's ClientForm module. It handles HTML select tags and their options.
