i need an advice,
Im using pygtk and i would like to make some kind of selection tool over image. Something like placing gtk.DrawingArea over gtk.Image... I dont know if this is possible. ..and then draw selection rectange to drawingarea by mouse

Hello, xrado. It's nice to hear from you again. We never heard if the StatusIcon thing worked out for you. I'll check the gtk docs, but in the mean time it would be nice to know if you had success with gtk.StatusIcon(). Also, it will help if you post any code that you are working on as it relates to your question. Thanks,

thx for replay

i would like to make an image crop tool. for now i only have image placed as gtk.image. my idea is to place something over image (if possible) and draw to it. i'll have to catch three mouse events, start of selection(mouse pressed), selectioning(mouse pressed and draging) and end of selecton. this will aslo get me the coordinats where to crop the image.

im quite new to python and gtk so i dont have much experience how to do it
