MySQL-python-1.2.1_p2, Python 2.5 and OS X Tiger

How do you install MySQL-python-1.2.1_p2 on a PPC OS X 10.4 machine
with MySQL 4.1?

And I know about the precompiled binary... I'm just sick of getting
