Hello everyone,
I'm starting to put together codes to monitor the web application for my website. Here's the scenario:

I have web application written in asp and running on IIS. It connects to SQL Server and pulls out data from there.

I'd like the bot.py script to access the myserver.com/login.asp and get authenticated by the username and password provided in the script.

Once the script logged in, it needs to insert some dummy data in to the DB using the online forms.

Finally it needs to send out results using email to me.

I'm experienced user in php/asp/bash/linux but very much new to python.

Please point me where to digg or provide me with some sample data if you have.

The python docs are awesome! Spend some time familiarizing yourself with the global module index. There is so much in there, you won't beleive it. The library reference has many examples in it, as well.
The cookbooks that I have bought over the years have also been very helpful. I wish you success and hope you post here often,
