PyQT question

1
Well, I've been having a bit of an issue with PyQT, and where does ggl "pyqt help" take me? Here of course.

Alrighty, so here goes. I've just recently started using PyQT (Wednesday to be exact), and I'm rather new to both Python and QT. Fortunately it seems to be pretty easy to use. I've got one small problem though. When doing things that take a really long time, like urllib.urlretrieve() 'ing a large file, the GUI hangs until the command finishes. The program still works, just, it'd be nice if the GUI would still be working in the process. I had a feeling running the urllib.urlretrieve() in another thread might have worked, but it looks like it would be really, really tricky to do in PyQT (though it is really, really simple to do in a regular python program). Anyone have any ideas?
