module time

There is function
mktime() -- convert local time tuple to seconds since Epoch
in module time.
But how about to convert *GMT time tuple* to seconds since Epoch?

Is there such function?

import calendar
help(calendar.timegm)

Help on function timegm in module calendar:

timegm(tuple)
Unrelated but handy function to calculate Unix timestamp from GMT.
